Social and emotional learning (SEL) involves self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision making. Teaching SEL works best when the focus is onhelping children and young people learn skillsfrom each domain so that they gradually and progressively build their skills and knowledge throughout early learning and school. It's an ongoing process across all year levels.
