Labeling dyslexia as a learning disability without so much as noting the powerful gifts that go along with it is a problem perpetuated by our antiquated education system. Through a combination of neurological explanations of dyslexic brain functioning and personal anecdotes, Allah hopes to inspire, educate, and empower dyslexic and non-dyslexic learners alike with the ultimate goal of redefining dyslexia. It is time to stop viewing it solely as a "disability" and start seeing it for what it is: just a different way of thinking.
